Lovely wooden cake stand made from the root ball of the teak tree.

Measuring 28 cms across the top disc, surrounded by a small edge lip. Supported by a conical wide stand, making the whole stand approximately 10 cms tall.

Hand carved with slight undulations which just add to the natural beauty of each stand.

Made from the waste by-product of Indonesia’s teak furniture manufacture, the teak tree root ball is often thrown away to make way for new trees to be planted. These reclaimed roots are then cut and shaped, making beautiful and useful items from a waste product.
